Overview
The Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491) is for skilled workers who want to live and work in regional Australia. You need nomination from a state/territory or sponsorship from an eligible family member in a regional area. After 3 years, you can apply for permanent residency (subclass 191) if you meet income requirements.
Requirements
- 1Be nominated by a state/territory or sponsored by an eligible family member in a regional area
- 2Be invited to apply via SkillSelect
- 3Be under 45 years of age
- 4Score at least 65 points (including 15 points for regional nomination)
- 5Have a suitable skills assessment
- 6Meet health and character requirements
