Overview
The Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190) is a permanent visa for skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government. It works similarly to the 189 visa but requires state nomination, which adds 5 points to your total. You must commit to living in the nominating state for at least 2 years.
Requirements
- 1Receive nomination from an Australian state or territory
- 2Be invited to apply via SkillSelect
- 3Be under 45 years of age
- 4Have a suitable skills assessment
- 5Score at least 65 points (including 5 points from state nomination)
- 6Meet health and character requirements
- 7Commit to living in the nominating state/territory for 2 years
