The Partner Visa allows the spouse or de facto partner of an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia. The process typically involves two stages: a temporary visa (subclass 820 onshore or 309 offshore) followed by a permanent visa (subclass 801 onshore or 100 offshore).

- 3Your sponsor must be approved by the Department of Home Affairs
